Allison Cara Tolman (born April 2, 1985) was an American actor. Her most well-known role is her role as Molly Solverson in the first season of Fargo, the first season of FX the television show Fargo. It earned her Emmy and Golden Globe nominations. Education and early life Tolman is the oldest of two brothers and a younger sister. The family relocated to England as she was just a little over a month old. She continued to stay until she reached four years old. The subsequent five years living in Oklahoma as well as West Texas, before moving to Sugar Land, Texas. In the Fort Bend Community Theatre, she began taking acting lessons in the age of 10. Tolman has been praised for her performance as the role of Minnesota Police Officer Molly Solverson. Vanity Fair declared that Tolman had "calmly certainly stole the entire the show". Tolman was awarded the Critics' Choice Television Award as Best Supporting Actress for a movie/ministry, and was also nominated for Best Actress at both the Emmy Awards & Golden Globes for her role. That same year, it was that it was announced Tolman would have a two-episode guest role on The Mindy Project, playing Abby Berman, a romance writer. In 2015, her supporting part was played by Michael Dougherty in the film, horror-film Krampus.
